Puget Sound Amateur Hockey Association hosted two weekends of
youth hockey tournaments at their facility in Tacoma recently. Teams
traveled from Washington, Oregon and Canada to attend these
tournaments and enjoy the hospitality and atmosphere that was made
possible by all of the volunteer help by PSAHA parents and members.
Over the weekend of March 27th - 29th PSAHA hosted their annual
Daffodil Tournament for the Mite and Squirt level recreational
teams. Attending this weekend of hockey in Tacoma were the Puget
Sound Tomahawks, Everett Grizzlies, Spokane Punishers, Inland Empire
Warhorses and Tri-Cities Jr. Americans in the mite division, Puget
Sound Tomahawks, Poco (Port Coquitlam, Canada) Warriors and Kent
Valley Tornadoes in the Squirt Division. The following weekend of
April 3rd - 5th PSAHA once again opened it's doors for the second
weekend of the Daffodil tournament to welcome PeeWee and Midget
level recreational teams for their share of the fun and enjoyment.
Attending this weekend were the Puget Sound Tomahawks, SJHA
(Seattle) Eagles, Prince George Canucks, Eugene Jr. Generals and
Nanaimo Vipers in the PeeWee division, and the Puget Sound
Tomahawks, Semiahmoo Ravens, Eugene Jr. Generals, Surrey Flames and
Langley Blues in the Midget division.
The
Tri-Cities Jr. Americans played hard to take home the championship
trophy for the Mite Division along with the Everret Grizzlies taking
second place.
In
the Squirt division the POCO Warriors took the honors with the local
Puget Sound Tomahawks coming in second place for the weekend.
The
following weekend saw the Prince George Canucks winning the 1st
place trophy and SJHA Eagles winning second for the PeeWee Division.
Rounding
out the two Daffodil weekends were the Surrey Flames winning the
Midget 1st place and Semiahmoo Ravens taking second.
PSAHA would like to thank all of the teams that attended both
weekends for coming to our home arena and sharing in the fun and
laughter that is the Daffodil Tournament. We would also like to
thank all of the parents that helped make these weekends run
smoothly and enjoyably. We would like to thank all of the sponsors
that helped make this all possible.
