PSAHA Hosts State Squirt Festival
Puget Sound Amateur Hockey Association was
honored for the second year in a row to be the host for the Pacific
Northwest Amateur Hockey Association (PNAHA) State Squirt Festival.
This event brought 10 Squirt teams from around the state of
Washington to Tacoma once again this year to compete in three
divisions, Gold, Silver and Bronze, for bragging rights as the best
Squirt team in the State in their respected division. The
tournament was held over three days, Friday, Saturday and Sunday
(April 13 - 15) and was packed full of excitement for all. Overtime
periods, shootouts, penalty shots, come from behind victories and
last minute goals were all prevalent throughout this weekend.
Teams that were involved came from Spokane, Tri-Cities, Kent,
Seattle, Tacoma, and Wenatchee. This weekend tournament is all about
fun and enjoyment of the sport of ice hockey for young boys and
girls ages 10 and under.

Puget Sound Amateur Hockey Association would like to thank PNAHA for
allowing us to host this wonderful event once again this year. We
would also like to thank all of the organizations, teams, players,
coaches, parents and spectators for making this another wonderful
experience. We also wish to thank Stephani Ebenstiner and Tracy
Bowerman (Tournament Directors) for all of their hard work in
putting this event together. We would also like to thank all of the
volunteers that helped run this event and made it such a success for
everyone involved.
