About PSAHA

PSAHA offers programs for ages 4-18, at all skill levels. We have learn to skate programs, hockey fundamentals programs, and competitive hockey teams at the Mite, Squirt, Pee Wee, Bantam and Midget divisions.

Mission Statement

The mission of PSAHA is to teach the youth of the community the sport of ice hockey, developing team play and individual skills through clinics and team competition by emphasizing sportsmanship, cooperation, fun, self discipline, self-confidence and respect for others.  PSAHA also will strive for the highest level of customer service to the membership to maintain and insure growth of hockey in the Tacoma area.

Team Selections

Puget Sound Amateur Hockey Association (PSAHA) fields teams in accordance with USA Hockey guidelines.  Teams are structured according to the players’ age.  For the 2009 -2010 season, the calendar year in which the player was born will determine which level they will skate.  As a general guide, the teams are structured by the following age groups: We will offer both Recreational and Travel level teams in these divisions if the number of players registered allows.

·         Mini Mites - 8 & under, as of December 31st (Birth years 01 and younger)

·         Mites - 8 & under, as of December 31st (Birth years 01 and younger)

·         Squirts - 10 & under, as of December 31st (Birth years 99 - 00)

·         Peewee's - 12 & under, as of December 31st, (Birth years  97 - 98)

·         Bantam's - 14 & under, as of December 31st, (Birth years 95 - 96)

·         Midget's - 18 & under, as of December 31st, (Birth years 91 - 94)
